Sr. Bidding / Pre Sales Engineer

 Role Objective

Devising a successful strategy for winning a bid, including pinpointing the unique selling points (key differentiators) of your organization, knowing your company’s operating and profit margins and understanding the clients’ specific requirements (the client in this case is the organization that is offering the work) researching, writing and/or checking proposals. Working with key members of the project team and the client organization to obtain the information required to compile the bid.

Work Experience

3 to 5 years

Knowledge/ Skills

  • Should have minimum experience of 3 years in domain of Bid Management in (metro-rail/Ai port) or  similar  transport sector
  • Good communication/presentation skills
  • MS Office tools and good proficiency in MS Excel
  • Understanding of telecom systems( Radio, PA, CCTV, etc.) in transportation sector is preferred


B.TECH/ B.E, or MBA (Marketing/ Sales)


  • Lead end-to-end bid management process including overall bid compilation
  • Detailed planning of the bid task schedule and completion / compilation of the bid (including coordination with the headquarters)
  • Define the work-split and bid plan, and act as the main interface to presales
  • Interact with internal and external partners to finalize the scope matrix / division of responsibilities
  • Prepare and share all bid documents and templates in line with customer requirements
  • Prepare and compile pre-bid queries
  • Assessment of the qualification criteria from the customer – ensuring compliance to the customer requirement
  • Ensure timely completion of various bid activities (such as documentation, compliance to the tender specification, preparation of cost build up and optimization, risk identification, etc.)
  • Coordinate between various internal teams
  • Management Quality team for respective inputs
  • Responsible for various internal specific approvals processes
  • Responsible for cost build up and contribute to bid strategy to meet the target price
  • Support in business model finalization, Benchmark solution and costs with other projects, put together of the entire price bid attend bid related customer meetings
