Consort Digital at the 10th MCX Plugtests 2026

Advancing Interoperability for the Future of Mission-Critical Communications

Consort Digital at the 10th MCX Plugtests 2026

Event Details

Consort Digital proudly participated in the 10th MCX Plugtests held from 18–22 May 2026 at the ETSI headquarters in Sophia Antipolis, France , most significant interoperability events in the global mission-critical communications industry.

Organized by ETSI, co-funded by the European Union (EU) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), and supported by TCCA and UIC, the event brought together more than 240 participants from across the global critical communications ecosystem, making it one of the largest plugtest event so far.

The MCX Plugtests programme serves as a collaborative platform for validating interoperability between mission-critical communication solutions based on 3GPP standards. The event focuses on technologies including Mission Critical Push-to-Talk (MCPTT), Mission Critical Data (MCData), and Mission Critical Video (MCVideo), enabling vendors, operators, and technology providers to test multi-vendor and multi-network interoperability in real-world operational scenarios.

Consort Digital Role

At the event, Consort Digital demonstrated the capabilities of its MCX ONE Mission Critical Solution - a complete, standards-based mission-critical communication platform designed for broadband and hybrid critical communication environments.

Built around open standards and broadband mission-critical technologies, MCX ONE supports MCPTT, MCData, and MCVideo services across private LTE, private 5G, public broadband, and hybrid communication environments. The platform is designed to enable seamless integration between devices, applications, control rooms, and networks while supporting reliable and resilient operations.

Test Scenarios

During the Plugtests™, Consort Digital successfully participated in multiple interoperability validation scenarios using the MCX ONE platform. These included:

  • Multi-vendor interoperability
  • 4G and 5G mission-critical communication
  • Cross-agency and cross-network communication scenarios
  • MCX services aligned with evolving 3GPP standards
  • Integration of mission-critical servers, clients, consoles, packet cores, and radio networks

These successful interoperability validations demonstrate MCX ONE’s capability to operate effectively within open, standards-based, and multi-vendor mission-critical ecosystems.

Our Commitment

Participation in the 10th MCX Plugtests™ reflects Consort Digital’s continued commitment to interoperability, ecosystem collaboration, and the advancement of next-generation mission-critical communication technologies.

Through MCX ONE, Consort Digital continues to contribute toward building interoperable and future-ready communication ecosystems for industries including railways, transportation, public safety, utilities, airports, and enterprises worldwide.

Consort Digital acknowledges the efforts of ETSI, TCCA, UIC, the European Union, EFTA, and all participating organizations for driving collaboration, innovation, and standards development across the global mission-critical communications industry.
