Overview
Consort Digital has been awarded the contract to deploy its MCX ONE communication platform at the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport. This deployment will empower airport operations with a modern, scalable communication and location management system designed to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
About Project
Navi Mumbai International Airport, developed by Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited (NMIAL) which was established as a special-purpose vehicle by Adani Airports Holdings Limited and Mumbai's City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), is set to become the second major airport in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Once operational, NMIAL will serve as a critical hub for domestic and international air travel, easing congestion at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. Designed to handle 20 million passengers annually in its initial phases, with capacity scaling up to 60 million passengers per year by Phase 4, NMIA will significantly enhance regional and national connectivity.
About Deployment
Consort Digital’s MCX ONE solution will play a vital role in supporting seamless operational coordination across various airport departments. The deployment includes MCX ONE Enterprise Server, MCX ONE Interworking Function, MCX ONE Dispatch Center and Radio Control Panel 5210A with real-time communication and location tracking to ensure safety, efficiency, and responsiveness across the airfield, terminal, and ground operations.
Consort Digital will integrate MCX ONE with the airport’s fire alarm systems to support prompt emergency response coordination. A CONSORT RoIP Gateway is also being provided to enable seamless interoperability, ensuring unified and uninterrupted communication between ground operations and air traffic control. The solution will integrate with DAMM TetraFlex base stations and other existing systems to offer a cohesive communication environment that evolves with the airport’s operational needs.
