Introduction
Indian Railways is continuously modernizing its communication infrastructure to support safer, more reliable, and future-ready railway operations. As part of this initiative, the Mathura–Chata section under North Central Railway was identified as one of the first corridors for the deployment of a 5G-based communication pilot.
The 31 km corridor provided an ideal environment to evaluate how next-generation broadband communication technologies can support operational coordination between trains, stations, and control centers in real railway conditions.
