Consort Digital has been awarded a contract for deploying its MCX ONE mission-critical communication solution for the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) Reach 6, Phase 2A, and Phase 2B corridors of the Bangalore Metro Project (Namma Metro) Phase 2. The deployment will deliver a unified, scalable, and future-ready communication system across one of the most significant metro infrastructure projects in the country.

BMRCL is a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka, established as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to implement the Bangalore Metro Rail Project and deliver world-class urban mobility to Bengaluru.

The Reach 6, Phase 2A, and Phase 2B corridors span over 80 kilometers and comprise a total of 49 stations with 13 underground and 36 elevated stations. These corridors aim to ease congestion across key routes, particularly in the central, southern, and eastern parts of Bengaluru. Reach 6, known as the Pink Line, is a predominantly underground section connecting Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara, while Phase 2A and 2B will link Silk Board to KR Puram and onward to the Kempegowda International Airport. Upon completion, these corridors are expected to reduce travel time and benefit lakhs of daily commuters significantly. The estimated daily ridership across these corridors is projected to cross 5 lakh passengers.

As part of the project, Consort Digital will deploy its MCX ONE Core Enterprise platform, MCX ONE Railway Extension, MCX ONE Interworking Function, and MCX ONE Dispatch Center (all views), along with a complete onboard solution and Status Monitoring Devices. These systems will integrate seamlessly with DAMM TetraFlex base stations and Sepura end-user devices to deliver a reliable, secure, and efficient communication solution. The deployment will support real-time communication between control centers, trains, and operational staff, critical for ensuring passenger safety and operational excellence across the metro network. In addition, Consort Digital will also be responsible for integrating MCX ONE with onboard rolling stock systems and signaling infrastructure to enable a seamless and connected passenger experience across the network.
